Schaal Technology has set out not only to address one of the biggest challenges in FIN production, but to eliminate it entirely: The solution is the Schaal Adjuster. With this innovation, Schaal reduces scrap rates by up to 30%.
The adjuster, newly developed by Schaal, positions the formed FIN strips under the trimming tool with absolute process reliability—and with a repeatability of up to one-hundredth of a millimeter.
In addition, the invisible becomes visible: deviations in forming tolerances are identified via the display values. This allows for the precise definition of what should happen—for example, an automatic system shutdown as soon as a tolerance limit specified in the drawing is exceeded.
The adjuster is available in semi- or fully automated versions.
